finally i get to use a non-sanctioned PC. it so happens that my job calls for non-use of company PC for non-business purposes. at times, it is a bore…but then again there are reasons why rules such as that exists. so, the best way is to respect these rules diba?
anyway, so much has happened during the time when i cannot use the company PC to save my life. the pc at home is busted pa rin kaya useless pa din diba…
saw superman a few days after it was shown…i think at day 3…halata namang we’re die hard fanatics…the line was so long, people are getting pissed, not to mention that a lot of people were even trying to make singit to existing kilometric lines.in short, because of that napaaway na ko. singitan ba naman ang line na isang oras kong pinaghirapan? nyehehehe. damn crazy with superman no? my brother was so embarrassed with me and my sis…we were the ones who are very sungit and taray kasi… the movie was good (more on that on future blogs) — in two hours, i was back again to being a six year old kid. there are times that brandom routh looked so much like my eternal crush –Chris Reeve.
in a related story…i was sent to cebu for five days last week to cover for a sick officemate. the exhibit is a mixture of food and whatnot and it was quite okay. cebu is a nice place, it’s a pity that i didn’t get to see all the sights. my daily schedule is to shuttle between waterfront cebu city (where we stayed) and ayala center cebu (which my boss remarked looked a lot like singapore). partly because no one offered to tour me around and because i am literally broke when i was there. imagine staying in cebu for five days with nothing but a plane ticket, a hotel reservation, pre-arranged breakfast buffet and zero cash — interesting right? the only good thing about me going there is being able to score this huge tarp of superman — coveted after endlessly harassing the large-format printer people. me and my boss literally stalked these people to give us the highly coveted superman tarps…
im in the mall right now, where the cost of internet equals the cost of my daily allowance for work. i am waiting for my boyfriend to finish his "mage knights" game. this f***n piece of plastic doesn’t fail to ruin my day as well as my plans with the significant other. anyway, when we get married i swear to god i will burn it all up. hehe! (insert diabolical laughter here)
oh, before i wrote my blog, i get to read a message from a former classmater who kept on stressing that i gained weight…"oh, lani you were fat na ha? what happened?" UH DUH — PEOPLE CHANGE. WHAT DO YOU CARE? i find it utterly insensitive of her to rant on how i have gained weight. did she even think that i like myself now, instead of that skinny little brat that was me back in college? why do people say their opinions outloud to other people, as if it really matters. it doesn’t bother me anymore that i am fat because i am not. i like that i have curves and that i don’t look like a reforming rehab case…but what pisses me off is the fact that what gave her the idea that she can give me her opinions and all that — to me especially? we were not even close. i’ve read somewhere that that’s the problem with pinoys…they think they can give their opinions to anyone and anywhere, regardless — "oh iha, tumaba ka? bakit wala ka pang asawa? ilang taon ka na ba? pumayat ka yata? anong nangyari?"
anyway, life goes on.
